Strategic Partnerships

AmerisourceBergen
AmerisourceBergen Corporation was formed in August 2001 when AmeriSource Health Corporation merged with Bergen Brunswig Corporation. The merger of these two industry leaders formed AmerisourceBergen Corporation, with 51 distribution centers and approximately $40 billion in annualized operating revenue. Since then, AmerisourceBergen has built six new strategically-located, state-of-the-art distribution centers, closing older, less efficient facilities in the process. The Company operates approximately 30 distribution centers today. AmerisourceBergen is the leading distributor focusing exclusively on the pharmaceutical supply channel. Alliant Purchasing members secure better pricing levels with extended payment terms through this agreement.

Capital Asset Protection Program (CAPP)

A self-funded equipment maintenance management program, CAPP is designed to lower maintenance costs without compromising quality or service consistency. CAPP is a non-committed program that allows member flexibility in selecting equipment for coverage, levels of coverage, and a service provider. CAPP reduces costs by relying on a “time and material” agreement rather than a manufacturer service contract, maintaining a database of equipment service and charges, and offering repair alternatives. Alliant Purchasing contracts with ARAMARK to administer CAPP. The 2006 Customer Satisfaction Survey indicated a high level of member satisfaction with the CAPP program, including staff knowledge and service.
